I recently had the pleasure of staying at a cozy hotel in Amsterdam, just a stone's throw away from the main attractions. The moment I arrived, the friendly staff made me feel right at home, accommodating my request for a cot with ease. Each morning began with a complimentary breakfast that was quite versatile, offering both local and international delicacies. The rooftop restaurant provided a pleasant ambiance and lovely views of the river, setting the perfect tone for the day. I particularly enjoyed the range of options available, although I noticed that not all possibilities were clearly communicated. For example, boiled eggs aren't on the menu, but you can request them - a little more transparency would enhance the dining experience. The location of the hotel was commendable, with the bus station nearby, making it easy to explore further afield.
